Jeep Cherokee Altitude 4x4 | 3.2L V6 | 1 owner | Pano roof | Nappa leather | 8.4in Nav | 4500 lb tow |2022 Jeep Cherokee Altitude 4x4, one owner, 3.2L V6, Nappa leather and factory tow package
The 2022 Cherokee Altitude checks the boxes people look at first in a compact SUV in the Beauce region: a 271-horsepower V6, a 4x4 system that engages on its own and real winter equipment. This one goes further, with three factory-ordered option groups: the trailer tow package, the panoramic sunroof with Alpine audio, and driver aids and conveniences such as blind-spot monitoring and a power liftgate. It came to us as a trade-in from its one and only owner. Put into service on September 29, 2022, it shows 56,436 km, and its factory powertrain warranty remains active until September 29, 2027. It is in stock at Daniel Paré, in the Beauce region.
3.2L Pentastar V6 and nine-speed automatic
On the Altitude, the 3.2L Pentastar V6 is standard. It produces 271 horsepower (199 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 239 lb-ft (316 N·m) of torque at 4,400 rpm, and it runs on regular 87 octane fuel. Its timing is chain-driven, so there is no timing belt to replace, and an automatic stop-start system shuts the engine off when the vehicle is stopped to save fuel in town.
The nine-speed automatic spaces out acceleration well: a short first gear for starts, then a very tall ninth gear that keeps revs low on Route 73.
Jeep Active Drive I, built for our winter roads
The Jeep Active Drive I system works without any input from the driver. On dry pavement, it fully disconnects the rear axle to reduce friction and fuel use, then automatically engages four-wheel drive as soon as grip drops, thanks to an active clutch. No lever to pull: 4x4 is there when the road turns snowy or slushy, on a back road or a sloped driveway.
The Selec-Terrain system rounds it out with settings suited to the surface, including snow. To be precise: Active Drive I has no low range, which is reserved for the Trailhawk. It is a system designed for the road, Quebec winters and gravel roads, not for rock crawling. Its 37.7 ft (11.5 m) turning diameter also makes it easy to park in town.
Factory tow package: 4,500 lb (2,041 kg)
This is the option that sets this unit apart. According to the 2022 Canadian specifications, a V6 Cherokee fitted with the factory trailer tow package can tow up to 4,500 lb (2,041 kg). Without that package, with an aftermarket Class II hitch, capacity is limited to 2,000 lb (907 kg). Here is what the package installed at the factory:
· Class III hitch receiver
· 4-pin and 7-pin trailer wiring harnesses
· 3.517 final drive ratio, shorter than the 3.251 of V6 models without the tow package, to pull better
· Full-size spare tire instead of the compact spare
That capacity suits a tent trailer, an ATV or snowmobile trailer, or a small boat, depending on their actual weight. We can check your combination with you before you buy.
Comfort and life on board
The Altitude's black cabin features Nappa leather-faced seats, known for their suppleness. Both front seats are 8-way power adjustable, and the winter equipment is complete:
· Heated front seats and heated steering wheel
· Remote start
· Dual-zone automatic temperature control
· Keyless Enter 'n Go proximity entry and push-button start
· Windshield wiper de-icer and rain-sensing wipers
The CommandView dual-pane panoramic sunroof lets light reach all the way to the rear seats. The power liftgate, universal garage door opener, 115-volt power outlet and two rear USB charging ports make everyday life easier, as does the LED ambient lighting.
As for space, legroom reaches 41.1 in. (1,045 mm) up front and 40.3 in. (1,023 mm) in the rear. Cargo space is 25.8 cu. ft. (730 L) behind the rear seat and 54.7 cu. ft. (1,549 L) with the rear seats folded, in a vehicle 183.1 in. (4,650 mm) long.

The Altitude is recognizable by its 18-inch gloss black aluminium wheels, the original ones, still in place. They contrast with the Granite Crystal Metallic paint, a dark grey that hides gravel dust and road salt residue well between washes.

Frequently asked questions
Where does this Cherokee come from?
It came to us as a trade-in at the dealership from its one and only owner. So it did not come from an auction, and it has been driven about 14,200 km per year since it was put into service on September 29, 2022, a normal pace of use. Like all our pre-owned vehicles, it goes through our pre-delivery inspection before handover, and the report is presented to you before purchase.
Is the 3.2L Pentastar V6 a good long-term choice?
The Pentastar is a family of V6 engines built in large numbers by Stellantis: our technicians know it well and parts are easy to find. Its chain-driven timing avoids periodic belt replacement, and it runs on regular fuel. Maintenance done at the scheduled intervals, with the recommended oil, remains the key to its longevity.
How much fuel does it use?
The official EnerGuide ratings on its original window sticker are 12.2 L/100 km city, 8.6 L/100 km highway and 10.6 L/100 km combined. Regular 87 octane fuel is all it needs, the tank holds 60 L, and automatic engine stop-start helps in city traffic. Real-world consumption varies with driving style, season and towing.
How does it handle winter?
Very well, for on-road use. The Active Drive I system automatically sends torque to all four wheels as soon as grip drops, without you having to think about it, and Selec-Terrain offers a setting for snow. Heated seats and steering wheel, remote start and the wiper de-icer make January mornings more pleasant. Quality winter tires remain essential to get the best out of this system.
What can it tow, and with what equipment?
Up to 4,500 lb (2,041 kg), according to the 2022 Canadian specifications for a V6 Cherokee fitted with the factory trailer tow package, which is the case here. The Class III hitch receiver, 4-pin and 7-pin harnesses and full-size spare are already in place. Tongue weight counts toward the 1,000 lb (454 kg) maximum set for occupants and cargo. All that is left is choosing the ball mount and ball that suit your trailer.
How much warranty is left on this vehicle?
The 3-year basic warranty expired on September 29, 2025. The factory powertrain warranty, zero-deductible and transferable, remains active until September 29, 2027 or 100,000 km, with roadside assistance. At the pace of use seen so far, the date is what will end it, not the mileage. Corrosion perforation coverage runs to the same date, and the major emissions component warranty until September 29, 2030 or 130,000 km. No extended warranty is attached, but our team can present the plans available at purchase. In Quebec, it is sold with the category B good working order warranty, meaning 3 months or 5,000 km.
Are there open recalls, and what happens at delivery?
Before delivery, the vehicle identification number is checked in the Stellantis system. Any recall with an available remedy is performed at no charge by our certified shop, on top of our pre-delivery inspection. If a campaign is still waiting for its remedy from the manufacturer, we tell you clearly before you buy.
Who is this Cherokee Altitude for?
A couple or a young family who want a well-equipped compact SUV, able to get through winter without worry and pull a light trailer on weekends. Its five seats and 25.8 cu. ft. (730 L) of cargo space handle a weekend at the cottage, and its 183.1 in. (4,650 mm) length keeps it easy to park in Lévis or Quebec City.
Why buy it from you rather than elsewhere?
Because a vehicle whose powertrain warranty is still active is best looked after by a certified Stellantis shop that handles claims on site with wiTECH and Mopar parts, and because our Sainte-Marie and Saint-Malachie locations put service less than thirty minutes from most municipalities in the Beauce.
